Gillian Bird is alive today thanks to your support.  The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is bringing hope to countless women and men living with breast cancer, or who will be diagnosed in the coming years.
 
Here in British Columbia we have made a bold commitment to end  breast cancer by 2020, by collaborating with experts in the field in five focused areas: prevention, early detection, treatment, research, and emerging issues in the healthcare workforce.

In the area of research, we recently heard of Dr. Samuel Aparicio’s amazing research breakthrough at the BC Cancer Agency, significantly funded by our Foundation.
 
Breast cancer is still the most common form of cancer diagnosed in women and remains the second leading cause of cancer death in Canadian women after lung cancer.
 
If we work together, we can achieve a future without breast cancer by 2020.
