FUNDRAISING SUCCESSES
Donors are making a difference across Canada. Driven by their commitment to support the breast cancer cause, they are instrumental in enabling the Foundation to fund quality research as well as provide accurate, timely and effective breast health and breast cancer information for Canadians.
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would not be able to do this without the generous support of individuals and corporate sponsors. From school bake sales to the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, Canadian companies, families and individuals continue to demonstrate their passion for helping create a future without breast cancer.
Across the country, the Foundation works with a number of partners to raise funds for the cause. The Foundation is grateful for its national corporate partners and regional corporate partners who support the work of the Foundation. The following represent a few examples of those fundraising successes:

CIBC Wood Gundy Climb for the Cure
From February 11 to 24, 2007, 22 CIBC Wood Gundy employees, family members and friends climbed through rainforest, desert and snow to reach the 19,340-foot summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak. By the time they successfully reached the summit, they had raised more than $550,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Since the CIBC Wood Gundy Climb for the Cure tradition began in 2004, fundraising has exceeded $1,000,000 for breast cancer research. The Foundation applauds the climbers and organizers for this outstanding contribution to the cause! Plans are underway for the 2008 CIBC Wood Gundy Climb for the Cure with details to follow.
