The culture of generosity is alive and well in Atlantic Canada. Research tells us we continue to be leaders among Canadians for our giving habits. But once you drop that bill into the donation box, write that cheque or buy a specialty product, do you know where your money really goes?

 

There are many worthwhile charities to support in this region. These organizations are transparent to their donors: they explain where the money goes; tell you what activities are supported and outline the administration costs.

 

As a donor, you have a right to ask questions if you’re not clear about something. Fundraising activities for breast cancer are numerous and the money collected doesn’t all go to the same place. Get to know the charities you trust to do good work with your money. Be sure that the money you’re giving will go exactly where you want it to go: research, education, advocacy, treatment, survivor programs, or other areas. 

 

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to provide support to the communities, companies, organizations and individuals who raise funds on our behalf. When we’re involved in an event or activity, you’ll see our logo and name clearly associated with it. That means proceeds from these events will support the work of CBCF.
