THE CANADIAN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION - BC/YUKON REGION

The BC/Yukon Region of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1992 to make a difference in breast cancer and breast health for BC women. It is one of five regional offices of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Every year, CBCF BC/Yukon Region, along with its donors, sponsors and partners, raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to support groundbreaking research and unique programs to prevent, detect, treat and find a cure for breast cancer.

Our vision is a future without breast cancer.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for funding through our Annual Breast Cancer Research Grant Program. This grant provides funding for investigators in basic, clinical, social science, or health-services-related breast cancer research.

Screening Mammography Awareness Campaign

If you’re a woman 40 years or older, make an appointment for your free regular mammogram by calling 1-888-GOHAVE1 (1-888-464-2831). It only takes minutes, no referral is required, and because it finds what you simply cannot - smaller tumours earlier - mammography saves lives.

ON THE ROAD

The 2008 TELUS Tour for the Cure is on the road! The Tour is an educational and interactive multi-media exhibit providing information on breast cancer prevention, detection and treatment. The Tour will visit 24 communities and 42 neighbouring First Nations communities across the Province through November 2008.
